This lightweight metal detector is ideal for children and for those who are just starting out and require an easy to set up, no nonsense detector.

The Visua VSMD52+ has discrimination controls allowing you to fine tune what you want to detect. It also has both audio and visual detection indicators with its audible tone and analogue gauge.

The VSMD52+ is also fitted with an extra large 19cm shielded concentric search coil with separated transmission and receiving coils giving better depth of detection and ground coverage.

A 3.5mm socket is located on the main box giving you the option to attach headphones.

  • The VSMD52+ is a perfect starter model. Simple interface and easy to use. It has adjustable discrimination control, volume control, battery indicator, analogue display and an audible tone indicator.
  • The extra-large 19cm shielded concentric waterproof search coil with separate transmission and receiving coils gives better depth of detection, ground coverage and enables you to search in shallow waters.
  • This Visua model is able to differentiate between metal types by varying the discrimination. Depending on the type of surface, it will detect items somewhere at a depth of between 16cm and 20cm. Fully adjustable shaft extending between 55cm up to 79cm (distance from the handle to the search coil.)
  • This kit also includes 1 x set of Visua Lightweight Headphones, AA Batteries, 1 x Folding Metal Multi-tool (can be used as a Pick or a Shovel) and the popular Beginner's Guide to Metal Detecting by Julian Evan-Hart & Dave Stuckey to get you started right away.
  • VERY IMPORTANT: Please remember to test the product outside and away from obvious areas of metal. Houses have an array of metal items inside (pipes, cables, radiators etc.) so you will more than likely get strange results if you test the Metal Detector indoors.
