The side-release top strap buckle serves two purposes: 1. Firstly it serves as a grab handle for the lunch bag. The lock is tight and the strap is wide enough for small hands. 2. Secondly, the buckle can be untied and attached to any adult backpack as a piggy bag or even a backpack with lunch box attached. This comes in handy when parents are carrying lots of bags!

To convert the bag to a backpack, simply thread the shoulder strap through the webbing loop at the top (centre) on the back side of the bag, and then lock the buckles with the plastic loops at the bottom. See picture for details.

The lining is washable and the bag itself can be rinsed from outside to get rid of dirt and stains. This kids 3-way backpack lunch bag can only be line dried. To wash it, you would untie the strap first and lock the side-release buckle at the top. Wash straps separately.
